The Curse of 31 Days of Toy Terror: Pumpkin King #233 from The Nightmare Before Christmas Dorbz by Funko

I am always down for a toy of Jack Skellington in his Pumpkin King guise (I have a whole shelf of pumpkin headed characters) so I made sure to track down the Dorbz version of the character. I haven't picked up many Dorbz as I'm not that big of a fan of them. I made a special exception for Jack, however, since he always looks so darn cool. He makes an exceptionally fine spooky treat for another installment of The Curse of 31 Days of Toy Terror, doesn't he? If you love Halloween, then join me after the break...

 The Facts:

Height: 2 7/8ths inches

Articulation: Swivel head

Accessories: None

Non-Scalper Price: $10 dollars

Year of Release: 2016
 The Positives:

* Of course I love the character design of the Pumpkin King's head but I really love how Funko translated this into the Dorbz style. The pumpkin's ribs are actually textured and the stem is very prominent. The face is excellent and I love the presence of the green "eyes" within the Jack o' Lantern eyes. Excellent!

* Not only is the stylized sculpt impressive but the open mouth and eyes of the pumpkin are actually recessed, giving the figure a much cooler vibe.

* Dorbz have a very basic body but the printing on Jack's shirt and pants look great. Very neat and clean.

 * I love that Jack is holding a torch in his right hand. The flame is molded from translucent plastic and looks really cool.
I own a Batgirl Dorbz (because of course I do) and a Batman that someone bought me, but otherwise I've pretty much avoided Dorbz. This guy, however, is excellent. He's a Great minifigure with a rather impressive headsculpt, some very neat, clean paintwork, and a nice "accessory in the torch (it's not removable, but it does accessorize the figure, right?). If you need a little version of the Pumpkin King for your desk or shelf to help keep you in the Halloween Spirit, you certainly could do worse than picking up this little guy. I'm glad I did!

I've reviewed a few Jack Skellington toys and action figures on here, including the ReAction standard Jack Skellington (Evil Smile), Santa Jack, and Pumpkin King Jack, and the Funko POP! Pumpkin King.

If you're looking for more Dorbz, the only other one I've reviewed is Batgirl.
