In like 1977 I think it was ,I dressed as Pulsar The ultimate man of adventure. I wish I still had that costume.
ReplyDeleteAs a contributor to the prize bundle, I am not eligible to win, but the only costume I remember wearing back in my Trick-or-Treat days was of a toy/action figure I owned. I dressed up as a Stormtrooper, and made the store-bought costume more realistic by carrying the Kenner blaster rifle. You know the one that took "D" batteries and made noise when you pulled the trigger? Good times!
ReplyDeleteI've dressed as characters that have been made as action figures, but I've never actually dressed up as an action figure.
ReplyDeleteI have dressed up as a Ghostbuster (Ray) and Lion-O from the Thundercats. My Mom made the Lion-O costume for me! My brother was a Rubik's Cube one year! Does that count as an action figure?
ReplyDeleteRubik's Cubes can absolutely qualify as an action figure. Especially if you pretend it's a Borg ship.
DeleteThe only costume I can remember really liking was a ninja costume that I wore because of my love for Storm shadow and snake eyes.I thought I was so cool wearing that costume.
ReplyDeleteNever dressed up as a toy. i do remember one year dressing up as a "Zombie Soldier". I had a bunch of camo that I wore and tried my best with zombie make up. I got so many "what are you supposed to be"'s I was slapping my forehead constantly.
ReplyDeleteI never have but I have always wanted to dress up as one of pete Fowler s monsters characters. Maybe next year I'll work up the energy to craft one
ReplyDeleteYes, I went as Uncle Gilbert from The Munsters after the toy came out. Like so: https://nerditis.com/2013/10/28/life-in-plastic-toy-review-followup-my-halloween-costume/
