The Positives:
* Skeletor is kind of adorable here. I think it's his massively oversized forehead, which is definitely part of the aesthetic choice for the line. Otherwise, his body is incredibly detailed. These little guys are cast in a rubbery plastic with the details etched in, and Skeletor fortunately does have quite a bit of detail. Check out the work on his armor, teeth, and his Havoc staff. It's quite nice! I'm using a new photo tent, so I'm still adjusting my colors, but his skull is a bright yellow, so he is definitely based on the Filmation appearance for Skeletor.
* Rather than having a metal key-ring, these figures have a plastic clip. They're marketed as bag clips, so I guess the intention is to display them on a backpack or satchel of sorts. From the back you can see more details on Skeletor's outfit and on his havoc staff. I'm going to have to find a cool way to display them in my MOTU collection.
My colors are a bit washed out in the pictures (new photo tent I'm playing around with) but in hand Skeletor is very bright and bold. He's an excellent looking trinket and makes for a fun way to show your allegiance to the bad guys. I'm not overly wild about how Skeletor's skull is oversized but I like everything else about the toy. He's a Good and a 1/2 bag clip and whether you add him to your collection or actually attach him to a purse, backpack, or satchel, you should be pretty pleased with the product.
Skeletor/ Keldor is one of my favorite villains of all time and now he has his own review archive! Check out Snake Mountain for all of my reviews of the Evil Lord of Destruction who, by his own admission, "Is not nice!"
