*This podcast originally aired on March 1st 2015, and is the end of our Retro Rewind initiative to publish our back catalog of episodes for our listeners.

*We were able to successfully recover, and re-post every single previously unavailable episode of the Podcast, with the exception of Episode #27.   We are always on the lookout for what is now the lost episode of the podcast, and will publish it if we can ever recover the episode.

In Episode 38 of the Confirmed Epic Podcast The Reel Brad Bell, Barbecue17, and Andrew Stokes review the long awaited Marvel Comic’s Darth Vader #1 and #2 by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Laroca.

In a sad edition of Epic News the guys discuss: the passing of Leonard Nimoy as well as the news of Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham Knight receiving an M-rating.

As usual we discuss what we have been checking out: Joseph Kahn’s Power Rangers reimagining, Spider Gwen #1, Far Cry 4, and the CW's The 100.

Action Figure Review: Clone Commander Wolffe from Star Wars: The Black Series Phase III by Hasbro

Today I'm checking out one of the newest Star Wars: The Black Series exclusive figures out there: Clone Commander Wolffe from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Wolffe was a popular Clone Commander from that series and now Hasbro is offering him as a shared exclusive between GameStop, Barnes & Noble, and The Disney Store. That's quite a few locations so hopefully folks won't have too hard of a time finding him. I purchased mine through a GameStop online preorder and he just arrived in the mail at the end of this past week. Let's check out this cool new clone figure after the break...

Toy Review: '93 Jeep Wrangler #9 from Matchbox: Jurassic World by Mattel

Today I'm checking out another car from Mattel's Jurassic World Matchbox line and like the solid green Textron Tiger I reviewed earlier in the week this one is also a vehicle with a color scheme made up for the toyline. This creation takes the body of the 1993 Jeep Wrangler staff cars from the original film but gives it the paint scheme and logo design of one of the Jurassic World Mercedes Benz staff cars. It's an interesting concept and, for around a buck, I'm willing to allow some experimentation in this line. Let's check out this interesting concept vehicle after the break...

Action Figure Review: Baryonyx (Roarivores) from Jurassic World by Mattel

Today I'm checking out another entry in the Jurassic World: Roarivores line and it's a pretty cool entry in the series: The Baryonyx! The Baryonyx was listed as being an inhabitant of the original Jurassic Park but apparently never made it onto the island. In Jurassic Park III it is mentioned but we never see it. Finally, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom gives us a full on Baryonyx appearance when the creature attacks Claire and Franklin in a lava flooded computer room. It was definitely one of the highlights of the film, wasn't it? While Fallen Kingdom isn't my favorite of the Jurassic Park films, I really love the diverse number of dinosaurs it offers. Let's check out the very cool battery operated Roarivores Baryonyx after the break...

Toy Review: '10 Textron Tiger from Matchbox: Jurassic World by Mattel

Today I'm checking out another vehicle from the second series of Jurassic World vehicles from Mattel's Matchbox line. I'm really liking these, particularly for the around a $1 price point. Mattel's Jurassic Park line has been incredibly affordable and it seems to be selling like hot cakes so more stuff just keeps coming out. The Textron Tiger appeared in Jurassic World as the main vehicle of the InGen security team but I don't remember it appearing in green. Can anyone confirm that these actually appeared? The only ones I remember are whitish- grey. Mattel has released that version as a single packed vehicle and in the Island Transport Team 5-pack that I reviewed last month. While this is really just a paint variation, let's still give it a once over after the break...

Action Figure Review: Harley Quinn from Batman Missions by Mattel

Ever since Mattel began releasing DC Comics action figures in the early 2000s Mattel has periodically released Batman based "evergreen" toylines that aren't tied to any specific movie or cartoon. For the 6 inch scale things started off in 2003 with Mattel's simply named "Batman" series and from there went through other "kid-focused" lines like Batman: Power Attack and DC Total Heroes. For 2018 we are getting the somewhat dully named Batman Missions and, like many of the lines before, it features more limited articulation but comes in at a $10 dollar price point. Batman Missions seems to be focusing on more characters than just the Caped Crusader, however, as the first series includes quite a few villains. I was really excited by this very modern Harley Quinn figure offered by Mattel and snagged her from Amazon a week or two ago. Let's take a look at Harley Quinn and this new Batman series from Mattel after the break...

Confirmed Epic Podcast Retro Rewind #36: Marvel Star Wars #2

*This podcast originally aired on February 8th 2015, and is part of our Retro Rewind initiative to publish our back catalog of episodes for our listeners!

After rave reviews for our last Star Wars review In Episode 36 of the Confirmed Epic Podcast The Reel Brad Bell, Jerry “Barbecue 17” Reed, and Andrew Stokes decided it would be a good Idea to review another Star Wars Comic: Marvel’s Star Wars #2 by Jason Aaron rather than see a certain Sci-Fi film with Channing Tatum.

In EPIC NEWS the guys discuss: Ghostbusters 3, Managing Star Wars The Force Awakens expectations and a potential release push, Netflix’s new DareDevil Trailer, Netflix’s potential live-action Zelda show.

In what we have been CHECKING OUT the gang discusses: David Fincher’s Gone Girl, Star War: Tarkin by James Luceno, and Hulks Agent of Smash on Netflix.  We also delve into overarching conversations about Comic/Film continuity and race/Gender in the modern Comic Book.

Toy Review: Off-Road Rescue Rig from Matchbox: Jurassic World by Mattel

On Thursday evening I was at my local Wal-Mart and I discovered some new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Matchbox cars. One of the vehicles I picked up is called the Off-Road Rescue Rig. It's an armored truck, probably an Oshkosh FMTV, that is equipped with a harness and chains on the truck bed to accommodate transporting a dinosaur of some sort. I definitely recall similar vehicles in the film but having only seen it once I can't confirm any specifics about when this was used. This is definitely used early in the film, however, when the dinosaurs are being "rescued" from Isla Nublar. Matchbox has released quite a robust offering of vehicles from the Jurassic Park series and considering they cost around a dollar each, I'm more than happy to pick them up. Let's check up this cool dinosaur hauler after the break...

Minifigure Review: Sven from Kinder Joy: Frozen by Ferrero

True story: When my little first got into Frozen a few years back it actually took me a couple of weeks to sit down and watch the movie. When the movie would be on and I'd just be walking through the room or chilling out and not really paying attention, I absolutely thought that Sven the reindeer could really talk. If you've seen the film then you know that he can't; his human friend and owner Kristoff actually talks and sings for him. It's pretty funny and is definitely something that my wife and I have always done with our dogs, so why wouldn't someone give a voice to their reindeer, too? What's even cooler is that Sven's "voice" kind of sounds like Cringer from Masters of the Universe. I wonder if that was intentional? Anyways, Sven is another minfigure in the Kinder Joy line of Frozen toys. My daughter and I both pulled him from Kinder Eggs the same day so now we both have Svens. He's a cool little reindeer and not bad for a small toy included with candy. Let's check him out after the break...
