It's been a couple of weeks since I showed off the Alolan Sandshrew vs Jangmo-o set that I picked up on crazy clearance from Gamestop but I wanted to show off one more of the newer sets picked up: Bounsweet vs Pikachu. It doesn't look like much of a fight is going on here, though, as Pikachu is sleeping and Bounsweet just looks too cute and helpless. While Pikachu is one of the most recognizable characters in the world, Bounsweet is a Pokemon that I wasn't familiar with before picking up the set. Bounsweet is a Generation VII Grass type Fruit Pokemon that apparently is supposed to look like a mangosteen. I've never heard of one of those, either. Interesting, huh? Let's check this set out after the break...

The Positives:
* I love the cute, harmless look of Bounsweet. Supposedly Bounsweet smells incredible and people use them as air fresheners. Tomy does a really nice job with the sculpting on these and they're bright, colorful, and just really reflective of the Pokemon art style. I love the cute little eyes on Bounsweet, too!
* Since Bounsweet has teeny, tiny little feet Tomy included a small plastic stand. It's just a translucent clear disc with a peg but it works really well for keeping Bounsweet upright on display.
* The second figure in the set is a sleeping Pikachu. How cute, right? There have been so many different Pikachu figures over the years and giving us a sleeping sculpt is pretty fun and unique. He's totally snoozing large!
* The face is really cute, too. Look ho happy this Pikachu is? I love the paintwork here and the way Pikachu is wearing a Pokemon trainer's hat, too.
This is a pretty cool set. Granted, I paid a little less than $2 dollars for it but even at the normal price it's still a nice pack of two fully painted, high quality minifigures. It's a Great little set and makes a nice addition to any Pokemon collection or a fun way to add a few more characters to the World of Nintendo line. Bounsweet and Pikachu are two fun minifigures and definitely stand out in the rather nice Tomy Pokemon line that just keeps growing and growing.

This is the first figure of Bounsweet I've reviewed.
