Minifigure Review: Wakusei Barukan #009 from M.U.S.C.L.E. by Mattel

It's time for some more Minfigure Madness with a visit from another awesome choujin from M.U.S.C.L.E.: Wakusei Barukan! Listed as #009 in the series, Wakusei Barukan seems to also be known as Planetman and appeared in both the Kinnikuman anime and manga series. He's apparently a 26 year old wrestler from the South Pole, Antarctica  and is a member of the Six Devil Knights. Again, everything I know about Kinnikuman is from reading M.U.S.C.L.E. blogs and the Kinnikuman wiki, so I'm a total noob to this. Anyone now how a newcomer can experience the Kinnikuman story? If you know, let me know! If you don't you can still enjoy this review of Wakusei Barukan!

The Facts:

M.U.S.C.L.E. #: 009

Originally Sold in: Cosmic Showdown 28-pack

Year of Release: 1986. Probably.

* I'm digging Wakusei Barukan/ Planetman's pose! It's still nice and neutral but the raised fist adds a bit of character and lets you know that this isn't a guy to mess around with.

 * The coolest thing about Wakusei Barukan/ Planetman is that he's literally composed of 9 planets (Pluto was still a planet back when he was created, FYI). He's has two planets for his ankles, two for his shoulders, and two for his elbows, while his torso, head, and waist are also all planets. It's a cool, crazy look that it pretty unique, even so far as M.U.S.C.L.E. figures go.
Wakusei Barukan is a fun M.U.S.C.L.E. figure. I'm digging him and I love both his pose and his unique design. I especially love the ringed planet used for his waist as it kind of resembles a wrestling title belt of some sort. M.U.S.C.L.E. figures are always fun and it's always a treat to add another one to the collection. This is a Great M.U.S.C.L.E./ Kinnikuman minifigure and another character that makes me interested in trying to track down the manga or anime of Kinnikuman.

I'm just starting to review some M.U.S.C.L.E. figures on here so if you're interested in seeing more, just let me know! I should have more floating around here soon.
