I'm going to be moving pretty quickly through these MOTU Figural Bag Clips from Monogram International and while I'm not going to review all of them I am covering the highlights. Series 2 includes 11 bag clips. There's Tri-Klops, Trap Jaw, Man-At-Arms, and Battle Cat (who appeared in the Walmart exclusive 3-packs), She-Ra, Moss Man, Teela, Hordak, and 2 new variants of He-Man and Skeletor, and Panthor who is the chase figure (technically Battle Cat is, also, but he came in the 3-pack and isn't rare or hard to find). I'm glad to see the Evil Horde represented here as it gives me a little hope that Monogram International may go a little deeper with the license in the future. Think we'll ever see more Horde members and perhaps even the Snake Men? Let's take a look at the Hordak bag clip after the break and see how much evil has been crammed into such a small package....
The Facts:
Height: 2 inches
Articulation: None
Accessories: None
Non-Scalper Price: $7-8 dollars
The Positives:
* Hordak looks fantastic. There's a lot of really good detail etched into the figure, both on his head and on his costume. He's one of the more impressive sculpts in the line for sure. Those red eyes and evil sneer are just amazing!
* Rather than having a metal key-ring, these figures have a plastic clip. They're marketed as bag clips, so I guess the intention is to display them on a backpack or satchel of sorts. From the back you can see Hordak sporting a bat logo on the back of his armor, too.
Hordak is another really impressive sculpt in this line. It's always cool to see Hordak show up and Monogram International did an excellent job with him. The colors are excellent and he just looks so darn intimidating despite being pretty small and hanging from a backpack. These are really fun little trinkets and Hordak gets a Great rating. He's one of the best released in series 2 and in the line overall. I'm not sure there's much of a Filmation presence in this line so I won't lament the absence of Imp too much but he sure would make a nice companion to this guy....

That would have been a nice addition for sure. I like these little guys and am anxiously awaiting a third series. How deep can they go? That's always my hope with any MOTU range of products.
