* Yesterday when I reviewed Bumblebee, I mentioned that there wasn't really anything other than the colors on her outfit that tied her Bombshells design in with her character. Cheetah is the complete opposite as I love how her outfit absolutely captures the character's wild nature in a fun way. The sculpt, paintwork, and cool extras like the safari hat with goggles and the classic safari suit definitely tie into Cheetah's classic depictions as a fearsome predator.
* Up close, not only is she sporting a camera but she also has a small knife and a cheetah print belt tied around her waist. Of course, the belt is a bit too long, so the part hanging off looks kind of like a tail. That's a great design element!
* * I'll give the same spiel about the price and the container that I gave with earlier figures in this line: I don't usually talk much about price but l feel the need to mention that for around $10, these seem a couple of dollars too high for a blind-bagged series. Well, blind canned. Yeah, these actually come in little tins with removable lids. It's a cool gimmick although I imagine it's what is adding the extra few bucks to the line. The tin is quite nice, though, and looks good on display with the figure. There's even a checklist on the back.
I'll admit that Cheetah might be my favorite release from series 2. She's not only an incredible looking minifigure on her own, but she also captures the statue she's based on well. It's a very strong design with lots of clever nods to the character's most well known depictions. She's an Epic minifigure and well worth tracking down!
I haven't reviewed any other figures of Cheetah on here but I have reviewed plenty of other DC Comics Lil Bombshells figures, including:
Batgirl
Batwoman
Batwoman (series 1.5)
Black Canary
Catwoman
Flash
Harley Quinn
Harley Quinn (series 1.5)
Hawkgirl
Katana
Mera
Poison Ivy
Wonder Woman
