Ready for another Chainsaw Man review? I hope so because today we're checking out the Vibration Stars figure/ statue of the Angel Devil from Bandai Namco/ Banpresto. Let's chase a rabbit for a minute, though; By now I'm sure that you're familiar with RossCon. Yes, the discount clothing retailer Ross has been getting a crazy amount of action figures and collectibles over the past year or so including stuff that's really, really new. Sure, there are multiple items that are clearly overstock and closeout items, but lately I've been finding Bandai Namco figures from One Piece and Chainsaw Man that don't even seem to have been released at most specialty stores and importers yet. What is going on? Last weekend I was at a nearby Ross and found some One Piece figures with manufacturing dates of 10/2025 and 12/2025. Crazy! I found this guy on a shelf at Ross back during the first week of January and he's definitely a new release that I don't believe truly made it to the US until this year. In Chainsaw Man, Division 4 of the Public Safety Devil Hunters utilizes some of the devils and fiends that are more friendly to humans to aid in their work. Enter the Angel Devil. He has some characteristics of a devil, sure, but he also has some angel-like characteristics. He can syphon off the lifespan of humans who come into contact with him, causing them to lose time off of their lives with minimal contact or even causing them to die painlessly with long enough contact. He first appears in chapter 36 of the manga and in episode 11 of the animated series, where he helps Division 4 assault a terrorist stronghold. Ready to check out the Angel Devil? Then join me after the break...

* In case you're curious, these statues are definitely too tall to blend in with the Figma, S.H. Figuarts, or the Anime Heroes lines. The Angel Devil (left) is way larger than he should be next to the S.H. Figuarts Aki Hayakawa (right). That's probably no surprise but, for folks looking at these online and wanting to assemble a collection, I figured it was worth noting.
The Positives:
* Bandai has so many different product lines for their statues and the Angel Devil here is part of the Vibration Stars range. What's that mean? These are low cost, durable pre-posed figures that are used as prize figures in Japanese crane games. Assembly is quick and easy and the design is simple and clean. The Angel Devil is sporting one of the Public Safety Devil Hunter suits and is surrounded by his massive wings. He's a mellow fellow, so the calm expression and demeanor fit him quite well.
* The Angel Devil does have a halo above his head. It's supposed to be just floating up there, so Banpresto gave it a clear plastic rod to keep it in place. It is removable but why would you want an Angel Devil without a halo? Maybe for folks who want to use it as the basis for a custom of Keanu Reeves from Good Fortune or from the movie poster for Constantine.
* I really dig the Angel Devil's blue and white tennis shoes with yellow laces. Very stylish! I also appreciate the clear, flat stand. It keeps the figure solidly balanced and doesn't take up a ton of space around the figure (though the wings already kind of do that).
If you're not a fan of Chainsaw Man or this type of pre-posed figure, you probably won't care too much about this. If you dig either the anime or manga, though? This might be something you appreciate. The Angel Devil is far from the most interesting character or character design on the series but I was pleasantly surprised to see a new character from one of Bandai's lines as all I typically see anywhere are figures of Denji/ Chainsaw Man, Pochita, Power, Makima, and Aki. Some of the devils are really insane and far more grotesque and frighteningly unique and it would be interesting to see more of them from Bandai in their various lines. This is a Great figure, though, and is definitely a durable, affordable smaller statue. Everything looks neat and clean and the Angel Devil looks like he stepped right off the page and/or screen. And the fact that I found it at Ross for 2/3rds of the retail price or less? All the better!
This is the first figure of the Angel Devil I've reviewed on the site.
