Action Figure Review: Chatsworth from Operation: Monster Force by Big Bad Workshop and Fresh Monkey Fiction

Big Bad Workshop and Fresh Monkey Fiction's Operation: Monster Force line has made my Top Ten Toylines list for the past 2 years. With an incredibly cool and lovable minigun wielding sasquatch joining the Operation: Monster Force lineup this early in 2026, it sounds like BBW & FMF are already firing shots to get a place in my top ten list for 2026. Today I'm checking out Chatsworth, the newest member of the good guys in the Operation: Monster Force team. Chatsworth is listed as a release from part 2 of Operation: Monster Force Season 3: "Red Moon Requiem" but considering the Season 3: Part 1 figures haven't shipped yet, that doesn't mean much. I mean, even if you had no story context and didn't know that Chatsworth is one of the last members of the Venerable Tribe of the Mountain Folk from the Rocky Mountains, a kind-hearted sasquatch who loves 1980s television, having a good time, and doughnuts, and whose strength is tapped by the Monster Force team so he can serve as a heavy gunner, would you really care? Wouldn't a cryptid wielding a heavy weapon and a Rambo inspired headband be enough on it's own? Let's check out this mysterious legend from the wilderness after the break...

The Facts:

Height: 8 inches

Articulation: Hinged toes, swivel/ hinge ankles, swivel/ hinge knees, balljointed dropdown hips, balljointed waist, balljointed mid-torso, lateral pectoral hinges, swivel/hinge shoulders, bicep swivels, swivel/hinge hinge elbows, double swivel/hinge wrists, balljointed neck base, and a barbell jointed head.

Non-Scalper Price: $70-$80 dollars

The Positives:

* Chatsworth is a big fellow. Here's a shot of him next to Declan Van Helsing so you can see how tall and wide he is. Chatsworth is definitely bringing the muscle to the team for sure. He's a chunky figure but you can tell that some tricks were done to make him lighter and easier to stand up and pose. He doesn't feel cheap; he's just been given hollow parts in a few places so he's more functional.

* I really love this guy. I'm a big fan of cryptids and while the sasquatch isn't my favorite (no one beats the Mothman), there's no denying that sasquatch/ Bigfoot/ Knobby is kind of the king of the cryptids. This is an excellent figure and a great example of the greatest strength of Operation: Monster Force: Taking recognizable monsters and such from folklore and pop culture and gearing them up with a tactical, military look. If the Universal Monsters combined with the world of Metal Gear Solid, this is what you'd end up with. Chatsworth is an excellent figure with a big, chunky build and some excellent fur. The paint is excellent and there's far more nuance to it than you might recognize at first thanks to a great a wash on the fur and some excellent mixtures of color on the exposed chest.

* Chatsworth is supposed to be a good natured fellow who loves 1980s television, karaoke, doughnuts, and playing with children. He's also always wanted to be a bounty hunter. Three swappable portraits are included for the big fellow and the first one looks like a pretty standard but friendly sasquatch head. I really like the friendly look on Chatsworth here. There's a lot of character and he's not just a generic sasquatch wielding equipment; he's unique and special. BBTS's sales page calls this the "Whoever smelt it dealt it" portrait, but I think he just looks like your typical, happy sasquatch. Or a samsquanch if you're asking Bubbles.

* The second portrait shows Chatsworth pretty angry. Maybe he's pissed because he just found out that ALF ended on a cliffhanger? I love the design of the teeth and the paintwork on them. Chatsworth looks seriously angry and ready to romp some of the Forgotten King's forces!

* The third portrait shows Chatsworth ready to rock. He looks really intense and has his fur pulled back with a Rambo inspired bandanna around his head. This is my favorite of the three portraits simply because he fits in well with the rest of the team while looking a bit more militaristic. Imagine if someone remade First Blood but replaced Stallone with a sasquatch. That'd be a really weird but pretty cool movie, to be honest.

* Here's a look at Chatsworth's back so you can see the detail on his fur, both through sculpt and paint. He's an impressive looking figure.

* What do you expect from a bigfoot? Big feet! Chatsworth has some massive feet with visible toe nails and a bit of sculpted dust and dirt built up. He doesn't look outright nasty or anything but, c'mon, he's a sasquatch living in the mountains. I imagine hygiene is not his top priority.

* His fingernails are really cool, too. Check out that detail! That's pretty wild looking. There definitely nothing that feels halfway done with this figure; Big Bad Workshop and Fresh Monkey Fiction really seem committed to quality.

* Chatsworth's belt is pretty cool. It's not removable, nor are any of the gadgets on it removable, but it has multiple paint applications, quite a few pouches, and some cool extras like some grenades and a canteen.

* To really sell the Rambo look you can slap these two ammo belts across his torso. Just pop off the head and slide them over the arms. You can do one or both, so load Chatsworth down however you see fit. It really does make him look pretty cool and I dig his geared up appearance.

* The articulation is pretty good on Chatsworth and while he does have a couple restrictions such as more limited elbow movement and somewhat inhibited bicep movement, overall he really moves well, especially at the shoulders, hips, and neck/ head. Whether you want Chatsworth to wield his minigun with both hands, plan to have him engaged in brutal melee combat, or just want him taking some classic sasquatch "walking through the woods" poses, you should be happy here. He feels really good and durable, too. I'm impressed by the quality here and how nice Chatsworth feels in hand.

* Only four swappable hands are included but they're decent sized hands with a lot of detail and paintwork. Some fists would have been nice but getting two grips (for holding the minigun or doughnuts) and some grasping hands covers most scenarios. They're easy to swap, too.

* Chatsworth is a massive creature so it's only fitting that he comes with a weapon so heavy that few could properly wield it. This minigun is massive. Like Vulcan Raven's weapon in Metal Gear Solid massive. It's really beautiful, too, with multiple paint applications, a fantastic metallic appearance, and a very detailed sculpt. The weapons in the series are mostly designed by Gridiron Studios, so you're getting good stuff.

* Check out the barrel! Yes, it's tough to see in my picture fully due to some glare, but the muzzle of the barrel has multiple paint colors to resemble scoring, making it look like it's been frequently fired. Shades of purple and gold are mixed in with the gunmetal and black to really make this barrel look like it's seen some use.

* The giant handle is hinged, allowing Chatsworth to hold it at different angles. There's also a cool little Gridiron Studios logo on the minigun. That's a fun Easter egg!

* The bandoliers that Chatsworth wears across his torso are not compatible with the minigun. Instead, you'll use these longer belts to feed the ammo into the weapon. There's a port on the bottom right of the weapon and the rubbery belt just plugs right in. There are two belts included and they can be attached together using the two included clips.

* These little clips can hold the belts together, forming a loop so it can be looped over Chatsworth's arm or allowing them to connect against each other. They present a couple options, so their inclusion is welcome. There's not a clear way these are supposed to attach to the figure or the weapon so feel free to use your own creativity to come up with some thing.

* There's an ejection port on the right side where this "ejecting brass" effect can go. How neat is this? Those empty casings are flying!

* There is a firing effect that fits right into the barrel. It's sturdy and doesn't seem like it will wilt over time. There's a nice color blend here.

* Chatsworth supposedly loves doughnuts so BBW and FMF were kind enough to throw four of them his way. Well, 3 3/4ths; one has a bite out of it. There are three standard doughnuts (with chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla frosting) and one chocolate doughnut with a big bite taken out of it. Chatsworth is a big guy and these look like some pretty large doughnuts!

* I'm really glad that a display stand with Chatsworth's name comes in the set. The earlier Kiloworg didn't come with one. Chatsworth doesn't "need" this or anything as he stands fine on his own since he's so large, but it's still nice to display near him.

* If you don't want to use it as a display stand, you can flip the display stand upright like a tombstone. The Operation: Monster Force logo is etched in and the stone looks all aged and worn.

The Negatives:

* I love Chatsworth's belt but it would have been cool if were easily removable. I think some folks would appreciate just having a standard sasquatch figure for dioramas and photography.

Take Note: The barrel does not rotate! It seems like it should but once it is attached it does not. If you try to you could break some of the tiny pins holding the barrel in place. If you need to remove the barrel, push the little knob at the back beneath the trigger grip.

If you preordered this guy a while back he was $70 dollars. He's $80 now but still you're getting a lot of action figure for your money. Chatsworth is loaded with cool stuff like his incredibly intricate minigun, the various bandoliers and feeding belts, his assorted doughnuts, and three excellent portraits. Sure, $70 -$80 dollars isn't an impulse buy action figure but, for fans into this stuff, you're getting a quality piece. Big Bad Workshop and Freshy Monkey Fiction have delivered another impressive action figure with no shortcuts; the paint, the sculpt, and the accessories all feel like a premium product and not something where costs were cut. Chatsworth is a fun concept executed brilliantly. He's an Epic figure and I'm really glad I preordered him right when he went up. He's very worthy of your attention!

This is the first figure of Chatsworth I've reviewed. For more Operation: Monster Force reviews check out the following:

  1. He saw the final episode of Dinosaurs. After watching Disney's 'The Black Hole'. The 80's didn't fool around
