Trick or Treat Through 31 Days of Toy Terror: Hot Wheels High from Hot Wheels: Halloween Series by Mattel

I was really excited this year because I had the chance to do something I've always wanted to do: Take a ghost tour! We took a train to New Orleans this summer and took a walking ghost tour while staying in the French Quarter. It was a lot of fun and a spooky good time. My wife and daughter had to keep me in line from asking too many questions ("Not trying to be funny, not trying to get a laugh, I don't want anybody to have the worst day at their job..."). Today's installment of Trick or Treat Through 31 Days of Toy Terror is a jet powered bus that's labeled Terror Tours! The model itself is called "Hot Wheels High" and it's a 2013 Hot Wheels concept of a school bus or tour bus that is heavily modified for some serious travel. Ready to jump in this tank of a bus and see some spooky sites? Then join me after the break...

The Facts:

Length: 3 1/8ths inches

Non-Scalper Price: $1 to $2 dollars

The Positives:

* The Terror Tours bus is a pretty chonky ride! If you were going to take a tour through some spooky or dangerous areas, this definitely looks like the kind of vehicle you'd like to be in. It almost looks armored, like a vehicle from one of the Jurassic Park/ Jurassic World films. Sure, it might have some of the design of a school bus (which are usually pretty durable), but this looks like it could easily fend off an attack from a variety of creatures. Plus, the colors are just really appealing to me with multiple shades of green.

* Both sides of the bus have the same art (through the indention of a door is only visible on the passenger's side of the bus, in the center) and it's pretty eye-catching: Terror Tours is written in large letters, outlined in green and complete with green flames. Green flames! Besides that, there's also a spooky green Jack-O'-Lantern with the Hot Wheels logo below it. That design seems to be present on all of these vehicle for the Halloween 2026 series.

* There's another larger Jack-O'-Lantern at the back along with a number 13. I guess that's the bus number, huh? You also have the very cool skull hubcaps with reflective green surfaces. This is one sweet ride.

* Flipping around and checking out the back of this vehicle reminds you that this isn't just a standard, armored tour bus. No, this thing has two jet turbines powering it. Don't worry! If you get in danger, the driver can get your tour group out of harm's way lickety-split.

* The front of the bus has a long, transparent green windshield allowing you to peek inside at the driver's seat and at the passenger seats. There are nine passenger's seats inside.

* The skylights on the top are also really cool, giving you a chance to observe the scenery high up around you, too. The translucent green windows here just look so good and really add a lot to the model.

I really love this bus. It's armored, over the top, and it has translucent green windows. I'm just an absolute sucker for it. Whether you're all about touring haunted places or you just kind of say "It's interesting, the ghosts," you'll probably agree with me that this might be the winner from this set, though I could certainly agree with you if chose the Pumpkin Delivery Baja Hauler. This one just makes me want to hop on board and ride through some spooky scenery during a long evening and night. It's definitely an Epic little vehicle.

This is the first model of the Hot Wheels High bus that I've reviewed. For more Hot Wheels: Halloween Series reviews check out the following:
