They've phased them out over time it seems. The other Mashers also seem to be a bit larger.

In looking at how they'll handle R2-D2, I'm taking some cues from how they handled Yoda. Yoda's legs are single pieces so perhaps they'll make his legs single detachable pieces and his head a standard head. The Mashers all have mostly unique sculpts so Hasbro doesn't seem to be relying too much on reuse potential. I'm curious as to if they'll do females. I'm really interested in this line, but I'll be quite upset if I never get a Mashers Leia, Padme, Aayla Scura, Sabine, Captain Phasma, and Rey. I really, really wanted the flame thrower piece.

The ESB outfit is way less colorful than than the Jedi one. The jetpacks are also painted differently. If I remember correctly, Kenner's Power of the Force 95 line was the first line to release Boba Fett differentiated in two different color schemes: The single carded figure from the second series was the ROTJ version and the Shadows of the Empire Two-Pack with IG-88 was the less colorful ESB/ SOTE version. That was when I first realized the difference.

Barbecue17https://www.blogger.com/profile/11169946891265569135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8438156728877167677.post-72194016746751900322015-09-24T07:35:44.817-04:002015-09-24T07:35:44.817-04:00I always thought the arms on Mashers were swivel h...I always thought the arms on Mashers were swivel hinged.I guess because they naturally look that way.At least their arms are out to the sides instead of straight and stiff like the Titan figures.I too stayed away from the Marvel Mashers but I wouldn't mind having a Vader. And how In the heck would they pull of a R2?! This one has all the traditional Fett items; the single pack just has a flame thrower and a poor little claw thing. Interesting about the arm color, too! I never figured out why he sometimes has green arms and sometimes has red arms. I guess you answered that question!

Anyway: This is a great set! Best thing about Mashers is that I don't mind getting doubles, 'cause one of them can be used for parts. I'll probably pick this up, even with the single pack Fett. Also, you made a good point about seeing these designs in a cartoon! Kinda reminds me of the old Genndy Clone Wars toons. I've always been a fan of an exaggerated style like this.Alexxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09467443844522666834noreply@blogger.com
